HackYeah Code of Conduct:

HackYeah is a community event intended for learning, collaboration, and engagement in the developer community and IT related. We value the participation of each member of the developer community and want everyone involved to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, all staff and participants are expected to show respect and courtesy to others throughout the event. To make clear what is expected, all staff, participants, volunteers, partners, sponsors, media, speakers, mentors and judges in the hackathon are required to conform to the following Code of Conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, or religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, photography or audio/video recording against reasonable consent, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

In the spirit of education and inclusiveness, there may be minors participating in the hackathon. Keep this in mind.

Photography is encouraged, but other participants must be given a reasonable chance to opt out from being photographed. If they object to the taking of their photograph, comply with their request. It is inappropriate to take photographs of code created by participants or in contexts where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy (in bathrooms or where participants are sleeping).

Participants (including mentors, speakers, partners, sponsors, media) asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately. As this is a hackathon, we like to explicitly note that the hacks created at our hackathon are equally subject to the anti-harassment policy.

HackYeah staff will be happy to help participants contact any local security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the hackathon. We value your attendance.

If at any point you do not feel safe please contact organizers or volunteers. If this is a subject you would like to discuss in privacy, please contact hackathon manager Marta Kowalska at marta.kowalska@proidea.org.pl or call at +48 605177768.

In summary, be open, thoughtful and full of respect to others!
